How do I start/stop service?
There are two
really
easy ways to stop/start your service:

You
can call us at (760) 356-2912. We can do everything over the
phone, with the exception of rental applications. Our phone
line hours are Monday through Friday,
8:00
AM to 12:00 PM and
1:00
PM to 5:00 PM
(closed during lunch hour).

You
can come into City Hall,
121 W.
Fifth Street, to the public counter and sign-up for service
in person.
Who do I contact for leaks, low
pressure, and emergency water breaks?
Please contact the Public Works Department at
(760) 356-2632 during normal business hours (8 AM to 5PM) and
contact the police department at (760) 356-2991 after hours and
on the weekends.

Account Set-up Fees
To initiate or discontinue water and sewer services, please
contact the City’s Utility Billing department, from 7:30 a.m. to 12
p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except
holidays) at (760) 356-2912. The following charges apply:
Rental account set-up fee:
$86.92 (application required)
Same day service fee:
$136.00
After hours account set-up fee:
(after 4:00 p.m.; before 8:00 a.m.; weekends &
holidays; non-scheduled work days) $168.00
Billing Procedures and Payment
Bills are due and payable the due date specified on the
bill. Accounts are assessed a late charge of $10.00 or 10%,
whichever is greater. Payments on closed accounts are due 30
days from the closing date. A reminder notice with the late fee
assessed will be mailed to the customer. Accounts are subject to
shut off 45 days following a billing. Payments must be received
prior to 2 p.m. on the last working day before the noticed shut
off. Please do not use
the payment drop box for accounts subject to shut off.
For your convenience, payment drop boxes are located at:

City Hall, 121 W. Fifth Street, front and back entrance
payment drop boxes.
Please do not deposit cash in the payment drop box.
Payments from payment drop boxes are posted to the account the
following workday. Payments made by mail are posted to accounts
daily by 3 p.m.
