    A wide range of housing opportunities exist in the City of Holtville.

    New Residential Development

    A new, high-quality single family residential development, the Holtville Estates, is proposed on Apple Court between Ninth and Tenth Streets. Thirty (30) new single family residents are proposed, ranging in area from 2,100 to 2,500 square feet in area. 

    A limited number of Residential Development Opportunity Sites exist. Please contact the City to learn more about these.

    Existing Neighborhoods

    Holtville residents take great pride in the community and the City's neighborhoods are clean, safe and well maintained. Because of the age of the City, a wide range of housing types and architectural styles are present. An ample of supply of high quality housing is currently available at all price points.

    2013 - 2021 Housing Element Update

    The Housing Element is an important component of the City's General Plan. It is a policy guide that describes housing-related needs and resources in the community, particularly the availability, affordability, and adequacy of housing. The Housing Element also establishes a strategy to address housing needs over the next eight years.
     
    The City is in the process of updating its 2013-2021 Housing Element. The public review draft Housing Element will be transmitted to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) on October 17, 2016, to initiate the 60-day statutory review period.
     
    The public review draft Housing Element is currently available for review in printed form at City Hall, and can be viewed or downloaded from the link below. The public review draft will be available for comment until November 4, 2016.
