Finance
The City of Holtville's Finance Department is responsible for managing the financial operations and resources of the city.
The department prepares and manages the city's budget, tracks revenues and expenditures, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. They oversee the collection of taxes, fees, fines, and other sources of revenue, and establish policies for efficient cash management.
Functions of the Finance Department include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, utility billing and bond administration.

The Finance Department's Responsibilities
Collecting, analyzing, recording, auditing and reporting all financial transactions of the City.
Managing the City's financial operations in accordance with established internal policies, goals and plans.
Preparing the budget to collecting revenue and reviewing expenses.
Processing payments to the City's employees and vendors
Providing oversight for the system of internal controls to safeguard City assets.
Provides support and analytical services to other City departments.
